FAQs

  • Are you dog friendly?
    We are dog-friendly in our bar area and in our garden. If you would like to book a table for a meal and are planning on bringing your four-legged friend(s) with you, please let us know so we can give you a table in our bar area.
  • Is it just your Sunday Lunch menu available on Sundays?
    On Sundays we serve our Sunday Lunch Menu alongside our Specials Board, which usually has a selection of other starters and main courses.
  • Which menu will be available for my booking?
    Our main menu is served during lunch service and evening service in all areas of the pub (bar, restaurant, garden room and outside). The only day we serve a different menu is on Sundays, when our Sunday Lunch menu is served. Please be aware that our menu changes monthly.
  • How do your pre-orders work?
    For parties of 8 or more we ask for a pre-order. The menus will be sent to you via email, along with a pre-order form. We are aware that the form isn't compatible with all devices so you are more than welcome to ring us with your order or just email it back to us in a list. We ask for pre-orders to be returned to us approximately 2 days before your booking (excluding Sundays, where we ask for orders to be returned by Thursday).
  • Do we need to pre-order for all courses?
    We ask for all starters and main courses to be pre-ordered to prevent delays, however we understand if people would like to wait to order desserts on the day.
  • Do we need to pay a deposit for large parties?
    We ask for a deposit of £5 per person for large parties (for sit down meals). This can be paid over the phone or via BACs. When we send the email with the menu and pre-order form, we will also include our BACs details. Your deposit will be taken off the final bill when you come to pay. If any meals are cancelled after the pre-order has been submitted (or after 48 hours before your booking), the deposit for that person will be lost.
  • What is the maximum number of guests you can accommodate?
    The maximum number of guests we can accommodate for a sit down meal is 20. Any groups larger than that can have a buffet option - please feel free to send us an email for more details and for our buffet menu.
  • Can we order from the Specials Board on our pre-order?
    Unfortunately, as our specials board changes daily, it is unavailable for pre-orders.
  • Can we decorate for a special occasion?
    Of course! Balloons, banners, napkins etc. are more than welcome - we just ask that you don't use table confetti as it marks our tables.
  • Do we need to book to have a meal?
    We highly recommend booking to guarantee a table and a timeslot, especially from Thursday to Sunday. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings tend to book up about a week in advance, while Sunday lunches are currently 2-3 weeks in advance.
  • Do you accept walk-ins?
    We will always do our best to accommodate walk-ins wherever possible, however if we are fully booked, it may be more difficult to fit you in. If we can get you in, we will inform you of the wait time to have your order taken.
  • A member of our party has an allergy/dietary requirement. Can you accommodate this?
    We ask everyone at the time of booking whether there are any allergies or dietary requirements. This helps us organise special ingredients and menu items to accommodate these requirements. This includes vegan, gluten free, dairy free etc.
  • Can I book a table outside?
    Our outside tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis, as the good old British weather is very unpredictable and we wouldn't be able to guarantee a table for you inside if the weather were to change.
